10/15/09 – BWCA announces Fundraiser raffle/auction to raise general funds and funds for rescue.
2009 BWCA Raffle/Auction
Hello and welcome to BWCA’s first fundraiser raffle/auction. The actual event will be held within the next month or two right here on the BWCA forum. YOU MUST BE A FORUM MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE.
We are currently looking for donations of anything dog or Weimaraner related. Some ideas are, artwork, framed photos, BWCA merchandise, gift certificates, anything that you think others might want to win.
If you’re wondering whether it will be an auction or a raffle, it will be both! We will have a silent auction for larger ticket items and will raffle off the smaller items. How? Well, each item available will be listed under this category separately in its own thread along with a photo, description and whether it is a raffle or silent auction item.
Raffle tickets will be able to be purchased via check or PayPal. Ticket will be sold for $2 each or 6 for $10. You will be emailed your tickets which will each have a number. You will be able to place your ticket(s) in which ever raffle prize you want to win. Then when the deadline approaches, I will video record the drawing and you will get to see if you won by watching! How fun is that!?
Silent Auction will also be hosted here on the forum. A starting price will be set with minimum increments. Those looking to bid will place their bids by posting in each item’s thread. When the deadline approaches, the thread will be locked for further bids (postings) and the winner will have the opportunity to pay for their winning via PayPal or by check.
As items are donated, they will be added to the forum for you to browse but the threads will be locked and you will not be able to post to them until the raffle/auction begins. All forum members have been automatically subscribed to the Fundraiser category so you will receive an email when new items are posted, and when more details are added.
If you have questions or comments, you may post them here or email me directly.
