More About Indigo
Hello, my name is Indigo! I am 1 to 2 years old, and am what they call a blue Weim. I was taken from my owners because they weren’t taking proper care of me, and I was put in a shelter. Luckily a volunteer there contacted LWR. I am a very sweet boy and am just looking for someone to love on. I love to be petted, and I will roll on my back so you can pet my tummy. I’m just a big softy. I like everyone and seem to gravitate to the little people. I heard that they are called children. I like my four-legged brother and sisters and even the furry one they call a cat. I like to play but would be just as happy if it was just me to get all of the attention. When one of the others is getting petted I will squeeze in-between so I can get petted too! I am not real crazy about going in the crate so you will have to lead me to it, and then I will reluctantly get in. I’m usually quiet, but I do occasionally whine or bark some. We are working on what is called house training, and I am doing fairly well at that if I do so say myself. I love car rides. I will jump right in the car as soon as the door is open. I do like to have a window, and it can even be the back window, to see where we have been. I’m just as quick to jump out of the car as soon as the door is open so I can see where we are. My foster Mom says I need to learn to wait though so it is safe before I jump out. I am just so eager to see things. I walk very well on a leash and heel right next to you even if I don’t have a leash on! I even like to walk along side you when you’re mowing the lawn and doing other outdoor chores! I do like to play with toys, but tend to de-stuff the plush ones that have those squeakers. Some of them make it really hard to get those squeakers out! I will chew on nylabones, and I love rawhides too. I never knew life could be this good. I am neutered. I even said Hi to everyone and wagged my tail when I was taken to that place for my surgery. There were several people there, and I had to let all of them have equal opportunities to pet me. They said I weighed 68 lbs. My foster Mom said I could put on a few more pounds I don’t mind the extra food : ) I have been vaccinated, am heartworm negative and on preventative and have a microchip. Can you find it in your heart to give me a place to live indoors with you? All I ask is to be loved, and I have lots of love to give to you. I am being fostered near Cincinnati. If you are interested in this Weim, please go to www.louisvilleweimrescue.com and fill out an adoption application. Is he still available? What are adoption costs? How is he doing with housebreaking?
