Hondow – Fresno, CA

HONDOW, 3 y/o blue, male Weimaraner. This boy traveled from Washington to California only to learn there was not enough room for him in his owner’s new home. Swiftly rescued by NCWR through the shelter, we find Hondow to be a sweet Weim who likes to wag his tail when he sees other dogs.  Hondow is very curious about smells, sights and sounds, but then he has traveled a long way!  He will remain by your side if you have treats, so while he has minimal recall, he should be easy to train with a reward-based approach.  Hondow gets along with other dogs, but has a strong prey drive, so no cats.  He adores adult affection, but has not been tested with children.  Hondow pulls on leash (as though it were new to him,) yet he knows the command “sit” and is house trained.  Hondow requires a corn-free diet.  He will be neutered prior to placement and is current on vaccines.  Hondow is an affectionate and beautiful Weimaraner, who will make a wonderful companion to someone willing to put in time with training, exercise and affection (and treats!)  In Fresno.
