Macy – Orinda, California

MACY

MACY, 3.5 y/o female blue Weimaraner. This petite girl is very cuddly and loving.  She has a beautiful coat and pretty face.  Macy will bond with her new person quickly, as she needs to have a human in her life!  She is unsure of new people, suggesting a difficult past (on top of being left behind in a vacated home by her previous owners.)  Macy will do very well with a leader who has patience and will give her assurance and affection.   She has very good manners and walks good on leash; she looks forward to outings!  Macy spent a month at a dog boarding and rehabilitation center for evaluation and confidence building.  She is not as fearful of strangers as she was, but this girl needs a home that will continue to work with her and allow her to unpack her bags and stay a long, long time.  A true rescue situation with a very loving dog.   Macy’s adopter will be asked to talk to her trainer at the rehabilitation facility to learn how to be her ideal leader. She likes to play with other dogs at the dog park, and she is trained on a treadmill, so fitting in her daily exercise is easy.  Macy likes to please, therefore training her in obedience will be a wonderful bonding experience for her and her forever companion.  She will do best in an adult only home for the consistency and stability, though she likes to be petted by children and will seek them out.  She is house trained, spayed, current on rabies, and a certified blood donor through UC Davis, should her adopter live in the area, Macy would receive many donor benefits while continuing to donate blood for those in need.  No cats!  Macy is in Morgan Hill.  Contact norcalweimrescue@yahoo.com or 925-385-5275.
